Teru Bozu
2013
Photographic video installation: photographic prints, video (36’’, loop, color, no audio)
Variable Dimensions
Teru Bozu, called also Dolls of the rain, are sort of amulets to recall good weather. Like many man-made amulets, it is a device of desire. Each desire has a different face and the photographs frame the dolls, each caught in its own singularity. They are hung under the table, which is often the childhood castle or home. The video, realized with stop motion technique, is characterized by minimal image variations and shows the appearance and immediate disappearance of the artist under the table, between the dolls. It wants to suggest a random and intermittent contact with the magical dimension of the Teru Bozu.
