QIC - Windows on Calvino
100 years of Calvino and not hearing them!
On Friday 7 October at 5.00 pm, on the occasion of the day dedicated to the Contemporary promoted by AMACI, I will open at the historic Queriniana Library a project created with Fabio Bix that has kept us busy for more than a year!
The QIC project was born as a tribute to Italo Calvino on the occasion of the centenary of his birth.
For Fabio Bix, Calvino represented the opportunity to propose sophisticated games and fragments of words on the external facades of the building, the enigma of which finds its resolution only inside the library. For me, who preferred to work in the ancient internal rooms, it was an opportunity to reflect on the complex relationship between nature and culture, woods and books. All are site-specific works, designed exclusively for the environments of the eighteenth-century city library.
Margaret Sgarra wrote the critical text, that you can find > HERE <
The exhibition can be visited during the opening hours of the Library from 7 October to 18 November, at Queriniana Library in via Mazzini, 1 in Brescia.
