Echo of silence
10 houses | 10 artists
I am truly happy to have been involved in a project curated by M. Berta and A. Pedretti which takes me back to a place that I love so much, the Camonica valley.
Some artists dialogues on the theme of the Gleno disaster which this year celebrates 100 years since the tragedy. Each artist, with his own sensitivity, creates an artwork that investigates some aspects of the tragedy of 1923.
All the artworks will be placed inside the private homes of families from Angolo Terme who were involved in the disaster 100 years ago. Each work will enter into dialogue with the living room, kitchen or bedroom of the host home and with the family who lives there.
A photograph will then be taken, to document the encounter between the artist and the place.
The works and photographic images, accompanied by a video, will be exhibited at the Artists' House in Angolo Terme, during the market exhibition in Bienno and finally at the Musil in Cedegolo.
Subsequently the photographs will be part of a public and permanent path within the town of Mazzunno as testimony to this collective action.
The names of the artists are given below:
Bowsky, Monica Carrera, Marco Delfi Cominini, Giada Crispiels, Danilo DiPrizio, Daniele Fabiani, Camilla Gagliardi, Pantalone, Francesco Pegurri, Ultrastruttura.
