…And yet it moves! (Still Alive)
2021
Photographic prints 20 x 30 cm, artist’s hair
These are images of houses - external and internal ones - deserted and rigid structures, from which hair comes out, like animated beings with their own energy. As if the world, and us with it, had fallen asleep and our hair had instead continued to grow, recovering their wild nature and leading us to become one with nature and life outside our closed homes. Like when, in the fairy tale, the sleeping beauty stung by the spinning wheel falls into a deep sleep for a hundred years and the whole castle is surrounded by brambles. Considered magical in many traditions, they do not decompose even after death. When we are alive they are symbol of strength and seduction and when we are dead they survive as relics. In these pictures, hair is beyond our control and comes out of us even when we don't want it: like energy, emotions and much more that is invisible to the eyes.
